Civil Aviation has ordered the closing of the Nosara airport from July 25th until October 2nd or 6th in order the pave the runway and to repair the fencing.
This is obviously going to cause inconvenience for all. Harbor Reef Travel (Nosara Visitors Center) has arranged for daily shuttle service between Nosara and Carrillo, (for the alternative departure and arrival locations next to Samara Beach) which is 45-60 minutes away from Nosara Airport. Therefore, the Carillo Airport is to be used while Nosara’s Airport is closed.
