My entire family would like to thank you for allowing us this wonderful experience. We will take back all kinds of stories and events to tell our friends and family. My boys have surfed til they can hardly move anymore! The surf was excellent. We have the best pictures we have ever taken. Lou and I have relaxed in the sun and enjoyed the locals. The lifestyle can get easy to get used to. We are making plans to travel back next year. Thank you for your home. It was a haven for us.

Brian, Liza, Jeremian, Tiffany and Hans from Manhattan Beach, CA:
Our trip can be summarized pretty easily: surf, eat, sleep, repeat. A couple tips- don't leave your sandals on the beach and be sure to lock the metal gate. Other than that, this was a perfect trip! We had some great meals- Rosie's for lunch and the Harmony Hotel and Dulce Vita for dinner. The surfing was amazing (and big!). The shape was best north of the cemetary arch and parking area. Best times were on a rising tide. The wife enjoyed her lesson from Innocent Surf School and board rentals were cheapest at Coconut Harry's, although Nosra Surf had the best selection. All in all, a great rrip for all of us. We can't wait to come back. Thanks for setting up such a beautiful house.
Best, The El Porto Crew

We rented our boards from Juan's El Punto Surf Shop. It is the only Tico owned shop and he will give a good deal. He rents bikes too. Internet adn phone at the Frog Pad are great. Saw scorpions, bats, owls, monkeys, coatis in yard and around town. Cooked every night: rice, beans, plaintains, squash, queso tipo tico, tortillas. Bought bread and brownies from Cafe de Paris. The gardeners work very hard- each day. We surfed every morning and evening and sometimes at noon. High tide is great and low tide not so great. Teh waves were pretty big- a little too big for us, but we all caught some good ones and had a great time. The pool here is awesome and we loved usign the hammock. For a cheap taxi out of town call melivin: a tico taxi who is local: 2682-1024 and don't forget to bargain. There is great bird watching from the patio.

We didn't know how much we liked pools. We surfed everyday. We loved the house, the bats and the monkeys. Rosie's Banano Pancakes should not be missed! Sit outside for the thunderstorms. We'll be back soon.

Had a good stay and enjoyed the wildlife. Surfing was good and the pool was our savior. Went on the Canopy Tour one day and would recommend it to anyone! Also had an amazing day fishing with Viber who we booked through NosaraFishing.com which is located in town (Nosara Travel or nosaratravel.com). We caught 9 Dorado and 2 nice Wahoos!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We had a great time exploring the Nosara area. This is our 2nd visit to C.R. Miss Sky Canopy Zip Line tour is awesome! Be warned the 1st climb will leave you out of breath, no matter how old you are.
For breakfast and lunch you can't beat Rosie's Soda Tica. If you just want a hamburger try Marlin Bill's. For pizza, La Basilica, past the Yoga Institute towards Playa Garza.
If you are staying awhile and travel to Nicoya- Maxi Bodega is the Costa Rican Walmart, they have everything.
We leave for Texas craving Pura Vida.

Our 3rd trip to Nosara. Just keeps getting better! Boys had plenty surf. We ate too much. Fish, lobster, steak (excellent), all good. Did adventure to Playa Junquial to snorkle and buy great fresh fish. Also went caving Barra Honda- Totally awesome. Boys loved it.
Wildlife everywhere- bird watched from front porch every morning. Best sunset dinner ever @ Lagarta Lodge- strongly recommend that.
Your gardener and house keeper super nice- always polite even with our lack of Spanish. Must learn basics- can't wait to plan next trip.
Favorite things inlcude- sunsets, local people, Flor de Cana and front porch & pool, local dog "Smiley"- can't miss the face. Shelling the beach @ low tide.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

We loved your house & beach, surf everyday! Had a great fish trip with Vibert but didn't catch too much. Juan Surfo's cheapest board rentals but Nosara Surf has a better selection. You can buy great steaks at Mini-Super next to El Punto Surf Shop or you can buy lobster and fish at the Pescaderia in Garza.

Ah, Casa La Playa from the moment we started up the front path, we knew we scored an amazing house. Location is ideal-easy to walk everywhere.
The gardens are breathtaking - and home to a family of monkeys we saw up close + personal!
Scary yet mesmerizing spiders, leaf bug, gorgeous dragon flies + even a little scorpion... Everyting plays its part!!
The ocean + beach were just magnificiant... most days did morning + atfernoon swims. The sunsets are stunning.
We also did "Two- A- Days" At Zen Cafe (excellent coffees + juices smootthies)... Yum! Dinner at the Harmony Hotel is a bit of a splurge but so worth it... That place is gorgeous. Again we rate Chandi's Pizza at il Basilico the best in the world. The new Beach Dog Cafe next to Harboor Reef is a great place for breakfast.
Oops... Almost forgot to mention the perfect little pool here ...
Lovely! between the ocean + pool, our kids easily logged in six + hours of swim time a day!
We also splurged on the zip lines it's a bit pricey, but so worth the experience.
We loved it in Nosara and can't imagine not coming here each year for Christmas.
Thank you, Mario, Roslyn, for opening your beautiful home to us. It made our perfect little trip more perfect!.
Happy New Year!
The Campbells Patrick, Heather, Franny + Gus.

We ate at Annie's often and thought that the jugos and banana pancakes were go and the staff bar that distinctive Central American "blare". The puma place up the street also never up good grub.
And living at Min they are was fun triying mapper from Erico an Playa Pelada was an authentic experience, and the Italian dude running the dreap internet cafe on that name beach was good for lunch
Well all leave here there birds lands memories of the monkies (5 am!), are scorpions, the private pool, Imperial, the beach , the beach , the beach....

Yet another wonderful Nosara vacation made even better thanks to your fantastic jungle beach house.
We enjoyed the privacy and the never ending supply of wild life that visited us daily. Very windy the first few days but eventually calmed into perfect weather.
Lazy days on the beach, perfect waves, zip lining (Miss Sky) and a very fruitful day on the water with Viber and Viber Jr, caught two Black Tuna, 1 yellow fin tuna and a Mahi Mahi, (the latter came home with us and was turned into fish tacos!). Great meals at Lagarta Lodge (sunset drinks, then dinner) Panchos (2 nights in a row)... Wet chicken burrito with green sauce.... yummy! Thank you so much fun sharing your little piece at paradise with as.

Thank you so much for the use of your wonderful home here in Nosara! Such a great lot you have, felt like our own private ampitheatre of wildlife and jungle beauty! Loved being a stop on the howlers commute, and didn't mind their morning rain complaints.
Food- echo others- Rosie, Chandy's Freddy's all are wins (Casa Tucan-blah, Robin's great ice cream, smoothies blah foods, Surf Dog- good breakfast, mediocre lunch. Gilded Iguana decent time.
Hopefully relocating to Nosara (in the next 6-12 months).

Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, we should have taken the rainy season more seriously. Lots- o- lots of rain. The house is beautiful, wonderful, fine and comfortable. But were a little nervous it might wash away in the rain. Seriously. Love Playa Guiones & Rosie's Soda Tica. Cafe Paris was a great fallback on pizza & tico food. If you come across a friendly, old tico dog that is brindell in coloring we call him Duke he likes bread soaked in leche.

Rain, rain, rain go away, we left our waders in some way!
The monkeys seemed to have left on "Business" but a friendly lot showed up to visit.
A very comfy house but your night avan t ear plugs when a serious rain hits the tin roof.
Not a Tucson, AZ monsoon more like vietnam!
The racking chairs are made for each of our specifications or so it seems. A beautiful and tranquil way to greet each morning.
This seemed like paradise lost to those of us from the great Sonorran Desert. But home for plant life from the desert was right outside "Olgas". Peruvian apple cactus, at home!
Bat flew in house this am but left pretty quickly!
Be warned to take your rain jacket any time after 10:00 am during rain season, a soggy but lovely time.
Millers: Tuscon, AZ
Had a great stay, fun waves and fantastic food!

Our first time to CR (Why did we wait so long) and it couldn't have been better! The house is beautiful, the wide porches, the landscape, the pool just perfect for us.
We surfed every day but one (too big), long beach walks, watched sunset every night at the beach and of course swam every day in the pool! We also rented a 4x4 from Alamo (National) and drove to Ostional & Samara (crossed rivers!) , but Guiones is the best!
Had zip line at Miss Sky, the guides are fantastic! Rented boards from Coconut Harry's (Mark says Hi!) and ate a way too many pastries from Cafe de Paris . Our favorite all around restaurant was La Luna for the setting the "vibe", food was good too! The monkey's came only once to our trees behind the house but what a kick!
All in all it was a great vacation. Thank you for making it all possible, we'll definately book again.
All the best- Pura vida

Note: The seed pods on the tin roof take a little getting used too. Again- neighbors have the same issue. Watch for scorpions in the shower, we killed two.
