*Regular vans are for up to 6 persons and luggage, up to 8 persons maximum, to allow for comfort. +$10 per person for a 7th or 8th person.

Booster or Car Seats are +$20/each.

Driving in Costa Rica....

It's not necessary during the rest of the year, if you plan on staying in Nosara and doing very little driving. However, if you plan on traveling to other parts of the country or exploring around the area of Nosara, we do suggest it.

Even if you do not encounter rivers, the higher clearance of a 4x4 on our very rough roads will make your trip more comfortable.

A note about our Gas Stations ("Bombas")

We have 3 stations in Nosara (see Nosara Map):

There are no pumps, they use a 5 gallon jug.

Credit cards are not accepted.

The new one on the main road DOES.

If you are driving in from another Costa Rica location, it's a good idea to fill your gas tank at one of the 2 stations in Nicoya. Or, at the one station after Nicoya, just before you leave the paved road: "Samara Bomba" (this one NOW takes credit cards too.
