Pelada Beach: a beautiful sandy beach with coves, a blowhole, a shell collector's dream, and copses of Coconut and Plumeria trees;
Nosara Beach: black sand, borders the Nosara River- great for fishing and boat trips;
Ostional Beach: also black sand- home of the famous Olive Ridley turtle arrivadas

The Guanacaste Peninsula contains a number of beautiful coastal and inland towns. Note the town of Nosara, (lower left coast above Samara) it has a small national airport, and Liberia, to the far north, is the capital of the state of Guanacaste. It has an international airport. People usually fly into Liberia (pictured above)
or San Jose (pictured on first map), which is the larger international airport,
but further from Nosara in distance.
Map of the country of Costa Rica bordering Nicaragua to the northwest and Panama to the southeast. Note both the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean coasts.
The large peninsula to the northwest is the Guanacaste Peninsula.
